Stump grinding and complete stump removal are two very different services. Removing a stump often means using brute force to separate a stump from its roots, then using heavy equipment to lever it out of the ground. Stump grinding, on the other hand, simply means grinding the stump down until it is level with or just below ground level. It’s a more economical choice, and it is often quicker, as well. This is a great choice for tree species that aren’t known to regrow from stumps, or in cases when you aren’t interested in planting another tree in the same location as the stump.
